Linvilla Orchards in Middletown, PA has red delicious apples for 20c/lb. These are the smaller red delicious, which I actually prefer. I went ahead and made some applesauce with them and although red delicious aren't perfect for applesauce, they certainly make it tasty enough. Cheaper than store applesauce too *plus* you can control the sugar content. (No HFCS either.)
They also have their veggies at 50% off. So Yukon Golds are 50c a lb, All Purpose at 35c a lb, bags of baby carrots for 70c and much more.
With the snow storm coming it is the perfect time to stay inside and do some baking.

$6.04 Eyeglasses
I'm a huge proponent of online eyeglass shops. From the day I got my first pair of glasses in elementary school until I found these places I have been paying exorbitant amounts for the lenses. I'd always pick the cheapest frames a shop offered, but it would always be the lenses for my particular prescription that would be the huge part of the cost.
Needless to say, I didn't upgrade my frames or lenses very often. Not a good thing for my vision nor my ego.
Then I took a chance on Zenni Optical. http://www.zennioptical.com I bought my first pair of online glasses for around $40.00. Pearle Vision gave me a price of around $150.00 just for new lenses in my old beat up frames. Here was a complete new set of eyeglasses for $40.00. What did I have to lose?
The glasses I received were great and from then on I've ordered more and have ordered bifocals, progressives, sunglasses, and other types of eyewear for myself and my family. Everything has come back just great.

Tuesdays through the month of February, Goodwill of DE http://www.goodwillde.org/index.asp has all of their winter wear at $2 for adults and $1 for kids. So those winter coats for the kids? $1. The ski and snow pants? $1. Jeans? $1. This is a great deal for the kids clothes.
Adult clothes are $2 each. Need a winter coat or jacket to just run around in the snow with? This is the time to stock up.
